Position Summary
As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at WorkForge, you’ll be the first point of contact for potential customers, engaging in meaningful conversations to understand their needs and introducing them to our learning and development solutions. With a focus on converting leads into meetings, you’ll play a vital role in expanding our impact in the food manufacturing industry.
Curiosity, organization, and tenacity are key traits for success in this role. You'll work closely with our sales and marketing teams, using your knowledge of our solutions to address customer challenges and showcase how WorkForge can help them build a more skilled and efficient workforce.
Responsibilities
- Be the first impression for prospective clients and introduce them to the WorkForge brand and solutions.
- Follow up with warm leads from marketing campaigns and events to convert interest into meetings.
- Conduct cold outreach to prospects via email and phone, growing our pipeline of opportunities.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to plan and execute strategic campaigns targeting specific accounts.
- Respond to and qualify incoming web and phone inquiries about WorkForge solutions.
- Develop a solid understanding of WorkForge’s offerings and clearly communicate their value to potential clients.
- Maintain consistent engagement with new and existing leads through personalized follow-ups.
- Keep detailed records of activities, insights, and interactions in the CRM to support team alignment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in sales development, inside sales, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM.
- Familiarity with SaaS or workforce training solutions is an advantage.
